For the first time a very special transport of two parts of a pipe forming press, each weighing about 250 tons, have been transported from Hessisch-Lichtenau in the centre of Germany to the upper Weser at Hannoversch-Münden where the heavy pieces were loaded onto a heavy duty drive-in pontoon to continue the journey to Rotterdam and from there to Dzerzhinsk / Russia via St. Petersburg. This transport was the most spectacular one taking place in this region of Germany. For this reason the German television broadcasted two video clips of this unique heavy lift transport. Please click here for Part 1 and Part 2.
The transformers have unit weights of up to 240 tons and are partly transported to Hassaouna, about 550 km south of the Libyan coast-line in the desert. [See more in NEWS..]
